It was back in 2017 when Oangle moved into our first-ever office space in Tai Seng, Singapore. And before that, we used to tell everybody that Skype was our workspace. Now, 6 years have passed and we’re saying goodbye to the much-loved space that has served us so well. To move on to a bigger, industrial-located office with newer and greater opportunities.
With the increasing number of overseas projects – apart from local ones, many have wondered whether a web design agency like Oangle really needs an office in Singapore in a post-COVID era. It might be a surprise to some, but worth noting that well before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Oangle had already implemented a partial work-from-home (WFH) system.
Before 2017 and without an office, our remote team started to implement a 2-day WFH and 3-day work-in-office system. Back then, many clients and agency partners would ask with worry and curiosity – “Is it possible to get work done?”
This system has proven to be effective and efficient, allowing employees to work remotely as required while coming back to the office energised and prepared for in-office operations. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, this decision has turned out to be a wise one, as it has enabled the company to continue its operations smoothly and seamlessly.
Fast-forward to 2020, we were happy to share with our clients and agency partners how to make WFH work during Circuit Breaker.
So even though we spent 6 years in our Tai Seng office, and made endless unforgettable memories and even more endless nights on projects, the time has come for us to move on.
